If you're in the mood to really pamper yourself you may consider going to the famous spa in the town of Caramanico Terme which is located just about in the middle of Abruzzo.

Another nice thing about the Abruzzo region is its proximity to Rome with its capitol city of L'Aquila being only 88 miles from Rome it would be easy to rent a car and drive there for a day trip or to continue on with the rest of your vacation.

The Abruzzo region isn't art or archeologically as rich as many other regions but still has a few Museums that may be of interest to those of you who enjoy art.  A click on the museums link and you will see the museums in the Abruzzo region with the towns they are in or near. Because many towns have a museum they call the civic museum of that town if you wanted more information on that specific museum you would need to do a search for the museum with the name of the town added.

It would be great if I could provide information and a link for every city and every museum in each region but not many if any websites could really do that.
